How checking works

• Each domain is checked automatically when you open the app, if it hasn't been checked in the last day. ↻ checks them all now; Check now on a domain checks just that one.
• A check asks the registry (the official record behind WHOIS) for the registrar, dates and transfer lock; DNS for where the website and email point and for SPF, DMARC and DKIM; and the website whether it answers securely.
• A browser can't see what a website shows, so set What visitors see on each domain yourself. The registry can't show auto-renew either: confirm it in the registrar account, then set Auto-renew to On so the expiry warning quiets down.
• When something changes between checks (a renewal, a lock turned off, email moved), it's listed under Recent changes on that domain.
